Our Process

The first phase of any Illumicom project begins with a free initial consulting phase. We go over your business' primary objectives as well as specific goals/expectations for your Web site. Although the focus will be on understanding the business need, this is also a good time for you to ask any questions about the future project.

With the business analysis completed, Illumicom will deliver a Statement of Work that will clearly define all the specific function points of the proposed Web site. At this meeting, scheduling & budgeting are also discussed to ensure everyone is playing from the same score.

Design  Although basic high-level structures will be included with the SOW, here is where we drill down to the specifics. For the site structure, ease of navigation and the right 'flow' are primary considerations. Another key part of Illumicom's design process is soliciting active feedback from the client on 'the look'. Are there favorite sites that you think are cool? What colors do you prefer? How would you like us to incorporate (or update) your current image? Do you want your fonts to communicate a modern or classic theme?

Once the structure and look are agreed upon, focused development on the individual functions and pages can begin. As the Web site is being created in the "Demo Zone" you are able to see your site take form, page by page. We welcome your input if there are any final polishing touches you'd like to see.

When we're ready for launch, we will register your site with the major search engines and assist with any marketing release plans such as targeting specific newsgroups or existing customers.

Last but not least, is putting the maintenance plan in place. Our goal is to make you happy and keep you happy for the life of your site.
